- The Customer confirms that the personal information supplied is correct. Photo ID information must be provided before the demonstration snow gear is released. ID's must be nationally recognised and current, i.e. passports or drivers licenses, firearms licence or 18+ Card. Expired ID will not be accepted. Details of your ID will be retained in our systems as security during the period that the demo snow gear is in your care.
- The Customer accepts full responsibility for the care and security of the demo gear for the full duration of the demo period, and will return the demo gear in the condition it was received in by the due date and time.
- If the Customer fails to return the gear, or if the demo gear is damaged beyond repair, lost or stolen, the Customer will be charged the full retail value of the demo gear. Torpedo7 reserves all its rights in relation to recovering the costs of the demo gear for any reason stated in this clause.
- The Customer indemnifies Torpedo7 for any responsibility and liability in the unfortunate case of injury or damage while using the demo gear.
- The Customer agrees that Torpedo7 will charge the Customer for any monies still owing in respect to the demo gear, at the end of the demo period, should the demo gear be returned late.
- Damage Protection - this covers accidental equipment damage and breakage that occurs under normal usage conditions. It does not apply to negligence, misuse, lost or stolen equipment, nor does it apply to personal injury or damage caused by usage in terrain parks.
- If the demo gear is lost or stolen the Customer must report this to the Police within 48 hours of occurrence.
- If the Customer does not take the Damage Protection offered at the point of sale, Torpedo7 reserves the right to charge the Customer for any repairs or replacements that are required to the demo gear if the gear has been damaged while it is in the Customer's possession.
- The Customer agrees to wear a suitable helmet and protection gear while using the demo gear. Torpedo7 reserves the right to refuse demo gear use to anyone with inappropriate equipment or clothing.
- By signing these terms and conditions, the Customer and/or their Parent/Legal Guardian agrees that the Customer is physically and mentally capable of riding the demo gear, they have read and understood the Terms & Conditions and agree to be bound by them.

Simply call or head into Torpedo7 Queenstown store and book the ski or snowboard you’re wanting to try. Hire rates are $50 for the day and if you love the selected ski or snowboard then we will deduct the Try Before You Buy hire price off your new product at time of purchase.

- Can I get a refund of the hire rates if I’m not satisfied with the product at the end of the day?

Unfortunately we don’t offer a refund after you try the gear.
- What happens if I return the ski or snowboard damaged?

Upon hire we offer a “damage protection” service at $2 per day. Please talk to one of our friendly experts upon booking for more information.
- When can I pick up the ski/board, and when does it need to be returned by?

You can pick up your ski or snowboard anytime in the evening before (after 4pm) or on the day of your booking, however ski or snowboard must be returned no later than 5pm that same day.
- What if I return the ski or snowboard late?

If you return the ski or snowboard late, such as the next day after 10.30am, then this will incur an additional charge of another hire day rate of $50
- How long can I try the product before I buy it?
